LezVolley will be donating funds to The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative

LezVolley is happy to announce that they will be donating funds to the Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative, the official 5013C non-profit of the Stonewall Inn. Partial Proceeds from LezVolley will benefit the initiative whose mission is to help some of the most marginalized members of the LGBTQ community, especially those that live in areas where equality has been slow to arrive.

We, as an organization, want to give our thanks with more than words. SIGBI Ambassadors

The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative was founded in 2017 and was kicked off at a reception hosted by Chelsea Clinton who is one of the Stonewall Inn ambassadors along with Amber Heard, Laverne Cox, Don Lemon, Andy Cohen, Matt Bomer, Asia Kate Dillon, Billy Porter, Andrew Rannells, and Anna Wintour, to name just a few. “We really want to help grassroot LGBTQ organizations across the country that need our help in raising funds and bringing awareness to their needs and their issues. We somewhat live in a bubble, here in New York, and there are so many people that live in areas where they still face daily discrimination. We need to make sure they have the resources and are given the visibility to thrive in their local communities.”

The Stonewall Inn gives Back Initiative recently partnered with the Matria foundation in Puerto Rico to raise funds for displaced LGBTQ people after the Hurricane and also has helped raise funds for the Missippi LGBTQ fund as they face some of the toughest state laws against LGBTQ people in the country.
